A pick-up truck driver died today after crashing into a Clayton County home.

The driver, whose name has not been released, had a medical condition that caused him to lose control of his vehicle, the Clayton County Fire Department said. The driver later died, authorities said.

The truck barely missed hitting two of the people inside the Fielder Road home, including a 3-year-old girl, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Homeowner Vikki Taggart told Channel 2 she was happy that no one inside the house was seriously hurt.

She and her family can’t stay in the home because of the damage.

“It could have been worse,” she told Channel 2.
