State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) reiterated Wednesday she won’t submit an Avondale Estates annexation bill without “full support of the community.”

Avondale’s commission will vote Nov. 12 on a resolution asking Drenner to file a bill that includes the city’s wish-list annexation map. But Drenner said board approval wouldn’t be enough.

“I’m looking for neighborhood petitions [with 60 percent neighborhood approval] to support an annexation bill,” she said. “I’m not going down that road again, where I go on the word of one person or one board.”
