Downtown library screens “Sista’ Solider”
In recognition of Veteran’s Day, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will show the independent documentary “Sista’ Solider” on Saturday. The movie, by filmmaker Yvette Jackson, looks at the role of black women in the armed forces and their struggles against race and gender discrimination. A panel discussion will follow.
