Douglas County will offer free lunch for children, beginning Tuesday.
They do not have to be enrolled in summer school or have any income restrictions.
Adults also are welcome but will be charged $1.65 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch.
The Douglas County School System Food Service Department serves summer meals at designated locations throughout the county on Mondays through Thursdays.
Through June 16, breakfast times are 8 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is noon to 12:30 p.m. at Turner Middle, 7101 Turner Drive, Lithia Springs; Mason Creek Middle, 7777 Mason Creek Road, Winston and Lithia Springs High, 2520 E. County Line Road, Lithia Springs.
Through June 23, breakfast times are 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch is 11:30 a.m. to noon at Bright Star Elementary, 6300 John West Road, Douglasville; Beulah Elementary, 1150 Burnt Hickory Road, Douglasville and Dorsett Shoals Elementary, 5866 Dorsett Shoals Road, Douglasville.
Through July 15, breakfast times are 8 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is noon to 12:30 p.m. at Douglas County High, 8705 Campbellton St., Douglasville.
