Two people were shot in northwest Atlanta late Monday, and one of the victims got into a car, tried to drive away and crashed into a dirt wall.

About 11 p.m., officers responded to two person shot calls, one on Burbank Drive and another in the 1400 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah said.

“The call on Burbank involved a wrecked vehicle,” he said. “A gunshot victim was found at both scenes.”

Police later learned both shootings started on Joseph E. Boone.

The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where they underwent surgery, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“One victim was critically low,” Hannah said.

The other person’s condition was unknown early Tuesday.
