The Georgia DOT will split traffic this weekend on Abernathy Road between Roswell and Brandon Mill roads, allowing two lanes of traffic in each direction. All four lanes are scheduled to reopen Monday morning. The scope of the project is to widen Abernathy Road from Johnson Ferry Road to Roswell Road from two lanes to four.

It is being done in conjunction with another project which includes widening Johnson Ferry Road from Columns Drive to Abernathy Road.

Both projects have a scheduled completion date of December 31, 2012.
