The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on proposals to develop a multi-modal transit station in downtown Atlanta.

The DOT envisions a “mini-city” atop a connecting point for buses, MARTA and future transit at the "Gulch," an area near CNN Center and Philips Arena.

DOT picked a preferred team -- led by Cousins Properties -- to create the master plan. But the public can comment on the other bid teams and give ideas for the hub project. The public also may comment on the agency’s Web site through April 13. The hearing will be at DOT’s Atlanta headquarters: One Georgia Center at 600 West Peachtree Street in Atlanta. For bid summaries or to comment, visit www.GeorgiaP3.com.
