Doraville has submitted a call for proposals to provide the city with information technology, or IT, service.

The city has used an outside vendor for the service, including maintaining its network and handling daily operations, since 2003.

The city now is trying to increase the availability of data to help citizens and businesses, as well as to run city operations.

Bids are due by Jan. 22. The City Council is expected to vote on a contract for the service in February.
