Doraville City Manager recently reported that the north DeKalb City is on pace to end the year with nearly $2.8 million in its fund balance.

That is more than double the $1.2 million left over in 2011, when the city reorganized its structure to better handle the $1 million yearly loss in revenue from the closing of the General Motors plant.
