The Doraville Planning Commission will consider granting a variance from the city’s tree protection ordinance at its regular meeting 6 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers of Doraville City Hall, 3725 Park Ave.

The applicant, Rose Leypoldt for Ridgeline Property Group, is seeking a variance from the requirements for minimum tree density per acre and specimen tree replacement and recompense.

Another request comes from the city itself, a zoning text amendment for tax preparation offices at 3101 McCall Drive. The commission will also consider a conditional use permit to operate a church, Iglesia de Cristo Ministerios El Xerbo de Dios, at 6087 Buford Highway.
