The city of Doraville recently confirmed Sherry D. Henderson as its new city clerk. Formerly city clerk and elections superintendent in Riverdale, Henderson brings over 15 years of experience to the Doraville position with experience in automating government processes, spearheading an Open Records Tracking System Solution, and providing assistance in the development and management of municipal operating budgets.

Under administrative direction from Doraville City Manager Shawn Gillen, Henderson will be tasked with directing, managing, supervising and coordinating the activities and operations of the City Clerk’s office including preparation and recording of the activities and decisions of the city council and codification and maintenance of official city records. Additional duties will be to administer municipal elections; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the city manager and members of the Doraville City Council.
