Doraville earns national environmental distinction

The Arbor Day Foundation has named Doraville as a Tree City USA for its work to preserve trees.

To earn the honor, Doraville created a tree board, adopted a tree-care and protection ordinance and a community forestry program. The city also observes Arbor Day.

Doraville is just the third DeKalb County city, after Avondale Estates and Pine Lake, to earn the recognition.
