The Doraville City Council denied a rezoning request during a recent meeting, disallowing a dry cleaning business to open at 3747 Longmire Way. The applicant, Ju Le Cho on behalf of Dry Green Dry Cleaning, requested rezoning from light manufacturing conditional to general business to operate a dry cleaning and laundry center, also requesting a variance from parking requirements.

Although Cho assured the council that the business is not a laundromat and wouldn’t need the number of parking spaces required by law, the council denied the rezoning and variance request by a vote of 3 to 2, stating the road on which the store would sit is too narrow for the traffic bound to result from this business.
