District to dedicate new Clarkdale Elementary

Cobb County Schools will hold a dedication ceremony and give tours of the new Clarkdale Elementary building at 10 a.m. on Aug. 4. The ceremony will be hosted by Marjorie Bikerstaff, the school's longtime principal. A massive flood destroyed the original school in 2009. The school board voted in February 2010 to rebuild the school. The dedication ceremony will be the first opportunity for the community to see the completed school.
