A Snellville café, known for its brunch dish the quinoa kale power bowl, failed its health inspection earlier this week, losing points for a moldy ice maker and dirty dishes.

First Watch, located on Scenic Highway, received a score of 51/U during a routine health inspection Thursday, according to a Georgia Department of Public Health inspection report. The restaurant, nicknamed the Daytime Café, had previously scored a 92 on its health inspection in September and a 95 in late December.

A health inspector observed the following violations: an employee’s open beverage containers located near clean dishes, food items kept at temperatures above 41 degrees Fahrenheit, dishes with food debris stored in the clean storage area and the ice machine covered with a “mold-like” residue.

The restaurant also lost points on its inspection due to employees wearing fitness bands and bracelets while preparing food and cotton gloves rather than slash-resistant, single use gloves, according to the report.

A representative from First Watch could not be reached for comment by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Friday evening.

The department of public health conducted  a follow-up inspection at First Watch, and the restaurant received a 100.
