Cobb County authorities are investigating the death of two people whose bodies were found after a house fire in Kennesaw.

The bodies of Gary Chamison, 60, and Sue Ellen Long, 57, were found Jan. 10 in a home on the 3870 block of Crestmore Drive, Cobb County Police Officer Joe Hernandez said.

Cobb fire crews went to the house around 5 p.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames, according to Hernandez.

Crews extinguished the fire and found Chamison and Long inside afterwards, Hernandez said.

Authorities said there were no signs of foul play, Hernandez said.

Cobb police’s Crimes Against Persons Unit and the Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services are investigating the incident.
