The Atlanta-based Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International has been awarded a $25,000 cash donation from Corning Inc.

The donation will support the organization’s work to monitor and protect gorillas and their habitats in Africa. The money will be used to support anti-poaching and gorilla monitoring trackers in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The fund was established in 1978.
