A crowd of about 300 is expected to attend this year's Down Home Derby Saturday at Fortitude Farm at Yellow House in Alpharetta. Sponsors for the event, the Child Development Association, say the evening will include live and silent auctions, entertainment and a viewing of the Run For the Roses.

Organizers hope to raise $140,000 for scholarships for underprivileged children.

The event runs from 5 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $150 each.
