The Georgia Department of Corrections will host a hiring event in Lawrenceville March 19.

The event will be held at Collins Hill Library from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is located at 455 Camp Perrin Road Northeast.

Eligible candidates will be interviewed and receive offers on the same day.

To apply, bring a completed application from www.GDCJobs.com, a valid driver’s license, a birth certificate, a social security card, your high school diploma or GED transcript, a copy of your POST certification if you are POST certified and your SAT, ACT, Compass, Asset or Accuplacer scores.

Blank job applications will also be available on site.

Attendees should also bring loose-fitting athletic clothes for a physical fitness test, but should dress for a job interview.
