The dense fog that delayed flights into Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Wednesday morning had lifted by late-morning, but the sunny skies forecast for the rest of the day will give way to rain on Thursday.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said temperatures Wednesday afternoon should top out in the mid- to upper 60s.

Minton said there’s a 90 percent chance of rain on Thursday, “most of it light.”

Morning lows Thursday will be in the upper 40s, with afternoon highs climbing only a few degrees to the low 50s, Minton said.

Friday and Saturday should be dry, but there’s another chance of rain beginning on Sunday.

Weekend highs should be around 60 degrees, with lows around 40.
