East Point firefighters will soon have a new facility. Demolition began recently for Fire Station No. 4 located at 2222 Ben Hill Road. A new 12,000 square foot fire station will be constructed in its place.

This $3.25 million dollar project will consists of four engine bays. An installation manufactured burn facility will also serve as a training location for firefighters. This project is being constructed and designed by DA Edwards Company and Brown Design Group.

Construction is expected to be finished in winter 2019.
