At Democratic convention, the hats are the thing

Who says the hat always has to be flashy? Awilda Marquez, a delegate from Colorado who supports Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton, let her allegiance be known.

This delegate created a creative way to let folks know which state she hails from.

Delegate Abby Dart of Harbor Springs, Mich., shows off her hat outside of the Pepsi Center in Denver. Dart had a friend take a blue "Obama '08" hat and attach a green-and-white Mackinac Bridge to it. She said the hat was to remind conventioneers that tourism is the state's No. 2 industry, behind automobiles. "I'm doing it to highlight the beauty of Michigan," she said.
