NORFOLK, Va.—A Delta Airlines jet from Atlanta made a hard landing at Norfolk International Airport after it blew two tires.

There were no injuries.

Norfolk Airport Authority executive director Wayne Shank told media outlets that the tires on the MD-80 jet's main landing gear blew out when the plane landed around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Shank said there wasn't any other damage.

Delta Airlines spokeswoman Sara Lona said 144 passengers were on the plane. The runway was closed while the plane was towed away.
