A heavily-used Sandy Springs intersection is about to get a makeover-and delay motorists in the process. Spalding Drive and Mont Vernon Road will close to through traffic starting April 13.

City officials said detours will be set up and additional signage will be posted to help motorists through the area. The project will re-align the intersection and add traffic signals to improve flow. Construction is scheduled to be done by late summer.
