Overtis Brantley will serve as DeKalb County’s interim county attorney while a search is on for a permanent replacement.

Brantley, who served as chief legal counsel for Fulton County for eight years and has served in her current private practice for almost six years, will serve a six month term and be paid based on a $190,000 per year salary.

The county’s law department provides legal advice on local laws, contracts, litigation and other issues.
