Potential applicants have until Sunday, Jan. 13 to apply for DeKalb County firefighter positions.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, a US citizen and have a valid driver’s license, according to a Facebook post about the job

The starting salary for a DeKalb County firefighter is $41,115 and fire recruits start at $39,158. The county told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution last month it was looking to fill 140 fire and police positions. Sixty of those positions at the time were for firefighters.
