A resident-led task force in DeKalb County has been launched to determine how to improve its animal services department.

Goals of the DeKalb Animal Services Task Force focus on increasing adoptions from the county shelter, promoting better pet ownership and working with nonprofit groups and concerned citizens.

The group is conducting a community survey to get more citizen input to the process. More information and the survey:  www.dekalbcountyga.gov/astf/.
