Property owners scheduled to appeal their assessments Wednesday in DeKalb County don’t need to go.
The Clerk of Superior Court has canceled the 250 cases before the board of equalization because the Callaway Building lost air conditioning late Monday. On Tuesday, temperatures reached over 90 degrees in the office, making it impossible to hold hearings, said clerk Debra DeBerry.
County crews are working to restore air conditioning service later this week.
