DeKalb police promote 19 officers, honor 25 others

DeKalb County Police Chief Cedric Alexander recently recognized 19 officers who have been promoted to the rank of sergeant or above.

In addition to those who earned promotions, the department honored 25 detectives and officers in the major felony unit for their day-to-day work.

In addition to investigating homicides and robberies, that unit is also responsible for handling domestic violence incidents, drug enforcement and crimes against women and children.
