DeKalb opens new YMCA/ recreation center

DeKalb County recently opened the new $15 million recreation center/YMCA at Wade Walker Park on Rockbridge Road.

The 60,000-square foot facility is being built from 2006 park bond funds and in partnership with the DeKalb YMCA.

The site is to serve as a health center, offer child care and have an indoor/outdoor pool for more than 140,000 households in the nearby area.
