The DeKalb County Board of Health is opening a new location for individuals to get tested for COVID-19 this week, but plans to close a site as well.

Starting Wednesday, the county will deploy its third “community testing team” at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, located at 1879 Glenwood Ave. SE in East Atlanta.

Free testing will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tests are also available at:

Testing at the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center location at 2705 Bouldercrest Road will permanently end on Friday at 5 p.m., the health board announced.

The tests are free and open to anyone, but you must register for an appointment ahead of time by visiting dekalbhealth.net or by calling 404-294-3700, Option 1.

The testing efforts are part of the county’s mission to address “health disparities and high numbers of COVID-19 cases in identified DeKalb County ZIP codes,” the health board said.

For more information on testing, visit dekalbhealth.net/covid-19.
