DeKalb officer in traffic accident

A DeKalb police officer was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday night in Tucker, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The officer left a parking lot at Hugh Howell and Cowan roads with his lights on, a witness told Channel 2. He swerved to avoid a car that pulled in front of him, but hit another vehicle that hit a pole.

There was no word on injuries.
