The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit has arrested a 22-year-old Decatur man in the shooting of a man killed in a robbery attempt in July.

Denario Pierce is accused of murder and criminal attempt in the death of Carlion Black on July 27, the sheriff’s office said in a release announcing the arrest. Pierce was picked up at Lenox Mall on Thursday and taken to the county police department’s criminal investigation division.

The sheriff’s office didn’t say why the suspect was at the Buckhead mall, but he was arrested without incident.
