DeKalb County’s juvenile court is trying to prevent children from ending in front of a judge by reaching out to families.

The court will host a community resource fair Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia.

The fair will focus on bridging the gap between community resources and children and families, county officials said. The free event will highlight the services the court offers, including a GED program, counseling and cognitive behavioral programming.
