DeKalb residents can schmooze with their neighbors and sample wines at an upcoming mixer that benefits the county parks service.

The inaugural Blue Cork Wine Mixer will be held this Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center. Attendees will be able to taste wines from around the region and try food from vendors and food trucks, DeKalb County said in a statement.

The event will also feature live music, hot air balloon rides, a hole-in-one challenge and more, according to the county.

Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased online. The proceeds will support the county parks service's purchase of a blue light emergency system, which would consist of small posts with a blue light that can immediately contact police in case of an emergency.

The golf and tennis center is located at 2706 Bouldercrest Road, Atlanta, GA 30316.
