DeKalb County, which is testing once weekly trash pickup, will hold two meetings later this month in communities in the pilot program.

The first begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road.

A second meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in Brookhaven Lupton Auditorium, 4484 Peachtree Road.

About 28,000 homes will be in the pilot, which will collect garbage, yard waste and recycling all in one day in a bid to cut costs for curbside pickup.
