The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management is recognizing “Imagine a Day Without Water” with an open house event on 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Scott Candler Water Filter Plant, 4830 Winters Chapel Road, Atlanta.

Imagine a Day Without Water is a nationwide advocacy initiative that highlights the crucial need for the investment in infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable access to water. Led by the Value of Water Campaign, DeKalb County will join hundreds of organizations across the country in participating in the third annual “Imagine a Day Without Water” by hosting an event aimed at raising awareness about the value of water.

During the open house, guests can take guided tours, visit various educational booths and meet county employees directly involved in the water treatment process.
