DeKalb County is hosting a special tribute to two local athletes who recently won medals at the Olympics in London.
The event will honor DeeDee Trotter, a Cedar Grove High School graduate, and Angelo Taylor, a graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School.
Trotter won a gold and bronze medal for the 4x400 and 400-meter races, respectively. Taylor won a silver medal in the 4x400 race.
The tribute begins at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur. It is free and open to the public.
