As part of its efforts to attract new members, the DeKalb History Center will host an orientation meeting next month for those who join the nonprofit.

The program, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Old Courthouse on the Square, features a look at the group’s programs, archives and museum. It will include a tour of the historic courthouse and complex.

Registration for the event is limited, and attendees will receive a center tote bag and resource packet.
