DeKalb County announced late Friday afternoon that they are extending the hours for residents to verify provisional ballots.

Voters have until 8 p.m. Friday to provide citizenship or ID verification in order for their votes to count, officials said.

Provisional ballot voters should bring the documention to the county’s elections office at 4380 Memorial Dr # 300 in Decatur.

DeKalb ballots are expected to be counted by Monday and county election results certified on Tuesday.

The county is the latest in metro Atlanta to extend its hours for provisional voters.

Gwinnett announced Thursday that it was extending its elections office hours to allow provisional voters more time to produce the extra documentation to have their ballots verified.

The office, located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville, was scheduled to remain open until 8 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.
