The Flat Rock Archive is teaming up with the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve to look at the history of the black community in the area.
The event includes visits to historical cemeteries and buildings in the Flat Rock area in south DeKalb.
The free event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 14 at the nature preserve, 3787 Klondike Road, near Lithonia.
