DeKalb residents can expect a break from the rain Monday as dry air also brings in lower humidity, according to WSB-TV meteorologists.

Monday morning temperatures started in the upper 60s as early commuters took to the roads around 5:30 a.m., and the high is expected to reach 90 degrees later today.

The drier air is credited to Tropical Storm Chris off the east coast, said Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton. The storm will stay off the coast and will not be a problem for Georgia, she said.
