DeKalb County revises recycle cart rollout for Doraville residents

DeKalb County Sanitation Services has revised the implementation process for the city of Doraville’s residential recycling program, according to a press release. Participation in the program is mandatory for city residents. Here’s what you need to know:

Each household will receive a county-provided, 65-gallon recycling roll cart by Friday, May 8. The larger, 65-gallon cart is the only one available to Doraville residents.
Residents can keep using the Advanced Disposal recycling containers until they have received the new county recycling cart.
Upon receiving the county cart, residents should begin using it immediately.
City crews will collect the empty Advanced containers after the county carts have been delivered. This way, no household will be without a recycling container at any given time.
Residents are asked to read the welcome packet attached to the new cart.
