DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a Volunteer Day 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12 at Mason Mill Park, 1340 McConnell Dr., Suite B, Decatur, according to a press release.

Residents are invited to join park staff and Georgia master gardners as they beautify and restore the park. Volunteers will learn how plants and gardening improve the environment, health and overall quality of life. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, wear proper footwear and bring a refillable water bottle.
