The second phase of DeKalb County’s “Rolling Forward to One” initiative is underway. The program of the sanitation service will provide every single-family residence with a garbage roll cart.

The county’s Sanitation Division implemented changes to approved garbage and recycling container requirements and collection procedures. Only county-provided garbage and recycling containers are approved for use.

Customers not in compliance will not be serviced until their next scheduled collection day. A notice will be issued advising of the use of unapproved garbage or recycling container. Non-compliant customers will also be required to place their garbage or recyclable materials in county-approved containers for servicing.
