A Chamblee office is being investigated for a possible bedbug outbreak, authorities confirmed.

Wipro, an international IT company, locally located at 2858 Woodcock Blvd., has been the site of a number of complaints since last week, according to the DeKalb County Board of Health.

The county agency is looking into the concerns, as is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

“OSHA has opened an investigation,” a spokesman said in an emailed statement. “OSHA’s jurisdiction covers health and safety of the employees at the workplace. Under federal law, employees are entitled to a safe workplace. Each employer must provide a workplace free of known health and safety hazards.”

No one answered the phone at Wipro’s Atlanta offices Thursday or Friday, and the company’s U.S. public relations line was inoperable.
