DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson has been appointed to a supervisory role in a national governance organization.

Johnson has been named vice chairman of the National Association of Counties Advisory Board for 2011. In that role, he will help the organization identify priorities to help counties across the nation with issues ranging from public health to education.

Johnson was elected as the DeKalb 3rd District Commissioner in November 2002.
