DeKalb breaks ground on new recreation center

DeKalb County has broken ground on a new $14.9 million recreation center at Wade Walker Park on Rockbridge Road.

The 60,000-square foot facility is being built from 2006 park bond funds and in partnership with the DeKalb YMCA.

When completed in July 2012, it will serve as a health center, offer child care and have an indoor/outdoor pool for more than 140,000 households in the nearby area.
