DeKalb board OKs Teach for America

The DeKalb County school board Monday approved the hiring of 75 Teach for America teachers, through the district's Race to the Top grant. Teacher for America is a program that places top college graduates in hard-to-staff public schools. Race to the Top is a federal grant designed to reform education policy. The teachers will begin work this fall.
