DeKalb County is covered in a crisp white blanket of snow this morning.

Schools were closed, including DeKalb County Schools and Emory University and Georgia Peidmont Technical College, as well as government offices and other establishments. The Mall at Stonecrest, Perimeter Mall and the Gallery at South DeKalb, also known as South DeKalb Mall, were all planning to open late, at noon.

Roads were looking rough, with wrecks and other issues, in DeKalb, as well around the metro Atlanta area. For closures, check: here.

The county has three warming shelters open:

  • Fire Station 3, 100 N. Clarendon Ave, Avondale
  • Fire Station 6, 2342 Flat Shoals Road, Atlanta
  • Fire Station 21, 1090 Crown Point Pkwy, Atlanta
